SCADA SCREEN — GENSET REMOTE MONITORING & CONTROL

// the_challenge

The problem we solved.

Many industrial facilities, commercial complexes and pump houses rely on diesel generators located at remote or unmanned sites — substations, rooftops, outdoor enclosures or plant peripheries. Maintenance teams have traditionally needed to physically visit these sites to check fuel levels, note down meter readings, respond to fault alarms or perform a manual start or stop. This results in delayed fault response, increased fuel theft risk and unnecessary travel overhead.

Our Genset Remote Monitoring and Control System eliminates these pain points by connecting the generator's control panel to a central control room over a robust Modbus RTU / RS-485 communication link, feeding live data into a SCADA workstation that gives operators full visibility and control — without leaving their desk.

// capabilities

What the system does.

Remote Start / Stop

Operators can start or stop the generator from the control room with a single command. Safety interlocks ensure the command is only executed when the engine is in a safe state.

Fuel Level Monitoring

Real-time fuel tank level displayed on the SCADA screen. Low-level alerts trigger SMS or audio alarms well before the generator risks running dry.

Electrical Parameters

Live readings of voltage (L-L and L-N), current per phase, frequency, power factor, active and reactive power — all displayed on a single mimic screen.

Alarm Management

All generator faults — overcurrent, low oil pressure, high coolant temperature, battery failure — are captured, timestamped and displayed as prioritised alarms with audio annunciation.

Historical Data & Reports

All parameters are logged to a historian database. Operators can retrieve trend charts, generate daily runtime and fuel consumption reports, and export data to Excel.

Multi-Genset Scalability

The architecture supports multiple remote generators on a single SCADA station. Each unit appears as a separate mimic page, with a summary overview screen for fleet-level monitoring.
